Ants

As you have probably noticed, ants are very community minded citizens of the insect world. Even workaholics at a picnic!

They have king, queen, and immature stage status back in the nest. The ones you usually find foraging through your kitchen, your garden and around your back door are the workers, and maybe some soldiers.

Some ants have painful stings, but mainly they are usually viewed as a pest because so many of them turn up uninvited into your home.

Rodents

Rats and mice are commensal pests. They can successfully co-habit with humans, eating whatever food they can find and share in the shelter of our buildings.

However, rodents like these contaminate more food than they eat, and in doing so, can transmit many diseases. For example, rats were responsible for the spread of the rat flea, in conjunction with the notorious Bubonic Plague, which caused the death of 25 million Europeans back in the 1300s.

Fleas

Fleas are no friends either! They are parasites found on warm blooded animals, such as dogs and cats. Throughout the ages they have made life miserable for both man and beast.

Relief is available though, through the application of modern pest management technology.
